1. Information we process
- Account information: name, email address, sign-in method, account status and login activity.
- Service information: submitted video URLs, requested output type and language, generated-output metadata, usage events, error records and PDF-ready events.
- Technical and security information: device/browser details, device identifiers, IP-related security records, approximate country information, timestamps and logs used to prevent abuse and operate the service.
- Payment information: subscription status, plan and payment-provider references. Payment card, UPI and banking credentials are handled by the payment provider, not stored by TubeNotes.
2. Why we use information
We use information to create accounts, authenticate users, provide requested summaries and PDFs, manage subscriptions, apply trial and device safeguards, detect misuse, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, answer support requests and comply with law.
3. AI processing and third parties
TubeNotes uses infrastructure and service providers to host the application, process payments, send transactional email, authenticate users and generate AI-assisted output. We share information only as needed for those purposes, to comply with law, or to protect the service and its users. We do not sell personal information.
4. Chrome Extension Privacy
When you use the TubeNotes Chrome Extension on YouTube, the extension processes the current video URL, title and available transcript to provide the summary, FullNotes, translation and PDF features you request.
The extension also processes the account and session information needed to sign you in and provide your TubeNotes plan or trial access. If you use the “Ask a question” feature, your question and relevant generated notes may be processed to provide an answer.
When you request translation, generated note text may be sent to a translation service. TubeNotes uses secure service providers and APIs only as reasonably necessary to provide these extension features. TubeNotes does not sell extension user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility. Information received through the Chrome extension is used in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Retention
We retain account and operational records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, operate output caching or history features, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by data type and system configuration.
6. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information held about your account. You may also cancel a subscription before its next renewal through the available account or payment-management options. Some records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, security or legal reasons.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect access to your device and account.
8. Children and policy changes
TubeNotes is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to online services in their jurisdiction. We may update this policy as the service or law changes; the latest version will be posted on this page.
